Facebook teamed up with some of its third-party fact-checking partners on “Three Questions to Help Stamp Out False News,” a campaign that kicked off last week, aimed at helping users make informed decisions on content they see.
The campaign is running on Facebook in countries across Africa, the European Union and the Middle East, as well as Turkey and the U.K., and it links to stampoutfalsenews.com.
The three questions are:
1. Where’s it from? If there’s no source, search for one.
2. What’s missing? Get the whole story, not just the headline.
3. How does it make you feel? People who make false news try to manipulate feelings.
